NestAway a Bangalore based online home rental startup has raised USD 12 million in a funding from Flipkart and Tiger Global. The funding will be utilised in an expansion planning in order to cover more cities and enhancement of the technology as well.
Founded by Jitendra Jagadev, Amarendra Sahu, Smruti Parida and Deepak Dhar, NestAway is online marketplace for home rentals that turns unfurnished houses into fully furnished and provides them to pre-verified tenants in an affordable price.
Amarendra, also the co-founded of television technology startup BrizzTV alongside Jitendra. A farmer’s son and first engineer from his village Kantio in Orissa, Amarendra decided to launch NestAway when his sister couldn’t find a rented home in Bangalore.
There are other players in the same space as NoBroker, a peer-to-peer property listing startup, had raised $3 Mn round of Series A funding led by SAIF Partners and Fulcrum Ventures for expansion of its services.
