After raising an internally led round of $11 million from Sequoia, Empire Angels and NGP last week, Bangalore-based startup Zoomcar announced today introduced doorstep services and is planning to aggressively expand across the country. Zoomcar is a startup that offers self-drive services which has a presence in six cities namely Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi NCR.
Customers availing of this service will get their car delivered at the doorstep by Zoomcar executives — be it office, home or any other place. The executives will also pick the vehicle up once they return from the drive.
As part of its plan to scale up, the company also plans to launch their service in Mumbai. It will have a fleet of over 1,000 cars across 250 locations in Mumbai.
The company has designed special packages including ZoomCommute to attract corporates and office goers who are looking for an economic weekday self-drive option.
This package offers a range of cars for weekly use, accompanied by special packages to suit the consumer needs as an affordable alternative to owning cars, the press release said. It had recently added high-end cars such as Toyota Fortuner and Mercedes to its fleet.
