the  online furniture  store selling more than 50,000+ furniture and home decor products in India raised $20 Million as investment from AskMe in exchange of stake exceeding 75% as reported by ET. The remaining stake would be held by promoters, Rahul Agrawal, Nikhil Saraf and Ranjeet Vimal who founded Mebelkart in 2012

As of now, Mebelkart will continue operating as a separate company with plans to merge into AskMe’s transaction platform in the future. This partnership will help scale Mebelkart’s  operations across India.

This Bangalore based startup that provides a range of products including Bean bags, Seating, Home furniture, Kids furniture, Office Furniture and Décor has a vision to make furniture and home decor purchase a hassle free experience.

Mebelkart claims to have made a 40% month on month growth since inception and boasts of getting around 100 orders per day and Gross Merchandise Value of more than Rs. 50,00,000 per month.

Furniture and Home Decor Industry in India  is estimated to be around $22 Billion. Mebelkart is competing here against a league of Furniture and Home Decor products providers. Their key to work their way up is by organizing this segment and working on the design availability,brand absence,warranty,service, transparent pricing model etc that is missed out on by others.They  are giving customers, look and feel of the furniture through Augmented Reality app where users can judge a furniture’s look in their room.
