SaaS based order fulfilment platform Primaseller which is owned and operated by Bangalore based Omni-channeler Technologies Pvt Ltd, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from existing investors Dr. Aniruddha Malpani and Manish Gupta, founder of Solidarity Advisors as well as Singapore-based M&S Partners and a group of angels led by Ananda Kallugadde.
The funding will be used towards building a larger engineering team, experimenting with multiple growth levers and evaluating the best way to win the fast growing SME space in Indian retaining.
Primaseller was founded in 2013, by Ali Mohammed along with ex-AOL executive, Vivek Subramanian. It is a cloud based point of sale system (POS) for the vendors that build technology for retail tech startups to enable streamline operation across multiple channels.
Primaseller’s technology is integrated with etailers like Flipkart, Amazon, PayTM, Shopclues, Fabfurnish and Magento to help vendors list their products and download orders easily. It presently has 500 sellers using multiple online carts and physical stores.
The company plans to build a subscription based scalable technology platform with an efficient on boarding service and aims to scale to million startup sellers in next few years with low cost of acquisition.
Prior to this, company had raised undisclosed funding led by Mumbai Angels. It was few weeks back that Snapdeal launched its omni-channel platform ‘Janus’ for the brands, this integrates online and offline retail channels to enhance seamless shopping experience for the customers.
Companies in coming days will not restrict themselves to just the online or the offline space. To enhance the experience of the customers they will convert themselves into omni-channel platforms.
However, there are challenges integrating omnichannel for retailers who have highly broken processes at the bottom level.
