Online home decor platform HomeLane.com, today announced the appointment of Jayanth P Mysore as its Chief Product Officer to head HomeLane’s consumer experience.
Jayanth has previously worked as a Product Manager at Google, where he was instrumental in launching core features of Google Maps, Google Analytics and Google Checkout. He has also played advisory roles for Fortune 500 companies, as a management consultant, advising them on various aspects of business strategy and operations, including market entry, mergers and acquisitions and international product rollouts.

Jayanth started his career as a researcher, working as a software engineer for Motorola’s corporate research laboratories, in various aspects of mobile computing and networking. He has multiple publications in peer reviewed conferences and patents to his credit.
In September, HomeLane acquired technology startup Doowup. HomeLane also launched a virtual reality-based device ‘Kaleido’, which allows users to envision different looks for their kitchens, bedrooms and living rooms in real time, thus helping them make an informed choice. The company said it is on track of recording $2.5 million of monthly gross merchandise value in the next three months.
Founded in 2014, HomeLane.com is present in six cities and has 200 employees. It raised $4.5 million in funding from Sequoia Capital in February. The company has served more than 600 customers since its inception. The average value of a transaction is Rs.6 lakh and it clocks revenue of Rs.7.5 crore each month.
