Careers360, the Online career education startup operated by Pathfinder Publishing, has acquired Delhi-based Entrancecorner.com, in an all-cash deal. This is a very strategic move in order to reach to greater audience and grab the largest market share in the higher education preparation field. Founder of Careers360, Maheshwer Peri has said in a statement:

“The Entrancecorner.com acquisition will help Careers360 expand its reach and deliver better value to all stakeholders. The need of the hour for all portals is to consolidate, expand audiences and increase yields. With this acquisition, our total market reach would be 55 per cent of the higher education aspirants,”

Entrancecorner.com was cofounded six years ago by Naveen Goyal, Shubham Watta and Ravinder Kaushik. EntranceCorner.com was owned by Edukriti Learning Solutions Pvt. Ptd. The vision of the platform is to enable students to build an informed career choice through an integrated and seamless platform that offers Counselling, Collaboration, Resources and Information at different phases of student lifecycle.

Google Analytics suggests that Entrancecorner gets around three million sessions per month, said a release from the company. The 20-member team of Entrancecorner. com has already moved to the new office. Shubham Watta, cofounder, Entrancecorner. com, said in a statement:

“We have built huge audiences but we had to build a marketing reach that will help us reach out to more clients and command better yields. This partnership with Careers360. com will enable us to achieve our true potential,” said Shubham Watta, cofounder, Entrancecorner. com.
This is not the first acquisitions for Careers360, earlier this month as well they acquired Mumbai Angels backed NoPaperForms. NoPaperForms is an enrollment management platform for educational institutes. This is again a step towards the rising trend of acquisitions in the startup industry, which is a great sign for a maturing industry where the ultimate aim should not be mushrooming of startups but consolidations to be able to reach out to a greater audience and serve a complete solution.
