IIM Ahmedabad’s Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) has been helping entrepreneurs turn ideas into viable businesses for a long time now. In a recent development CIIE is planning to work alongside Startup Oasis, a Jaipur based incubation centre that is developing an ecosystem in Rajasthan to inspire and support students, aspiring entrepreneurs and start-ups to solve persistent problems, develop breakthrough innovations and create world class enterprises and Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation popularly known as RIICO is a premier agency of Government of Rajasthan that has played an important role in the industrial development of Rajasthan,


As per the plan, the three organisations are all set to launch an accelerator programme for startups in the water sector. The programme is set up in partnership with Hindustan Unilever’s Pureit, Arghyam Foundation, Luminous Water Technologies’ Livpure, the World Bank’s Water and Sanitation Program, and the Asian Development Bank. December 12, would be the demo-day for the accelerator in Jaipur. 

So far around 11 organisations have been selected for the programme and have been provided with tools, mentoring and access to industry experts, and more such initiatives will be taken over a four-month-long programme. Eight out of these startups will demonstrate their solutions/technology on demo day that could make an impact on the water sector in Rajasthan.

Government of Rajasthan has signed an MoU with CIIE, as a part of which the government has agreed to support the selected companies in implementing and certifying their solutions.
