Search and locate shared rides on an interactive map based interface using Ridely
What happens when a bunch of enthusiastic and enterprising techies are ready to take on new challenges- Precisely what Varun , Rachit and Ankur have been doing. The trio that worked together in Jabong have developed an app that makes ride sharing easy. Based out of New Delhi, Ridely was founded in 2015 and was launched publicly on Jan1, 2016.
Ridely is a smart carpooling and ride sharing application that let’s you share rides with verified people in a hassle free manner. Ridely enables users to search and locate rides on an interactive map based interface. Users can check their ride offeror’s profile, cost, pickup and drop locations etc. before requesting for the ride. It allows sharing of cars and two-wheelers owned by people, on its platform . Ride sharing is real time with Ridely, making it the most preferred option to commute daily.
The Ridely team, currently consists of just the three founders. They started working on Ridely from 1st November last year and got it registered as a private limited company on 1st Jan 2016. Varun Verma, the founder and CEO holds a B-Tech degree in ECE and been inclined towards entrepreneurship and CounterStrike from an early age. His set up his first entreprenueral venture, Techbits, when he was just 19. He was also the part of the core development team at Mobikwik and developed and designed the architecture of Mobikwik Wallet from scratch. He also helped in scaling Jabong and built CMS and its Image delivery platform from scratch.
Rachit Gupta the CTO is also a Engineering graduate in CSE. He has also contributed to LibreOffice during Google Summer of Code and built Jabong’s easily scalable catalog system. Always ready to benchmark and try new technologies, this guy loves full stack development. Ankur Gaur , the CPO & COO is passionate about building products and can pick any technology quickly. He holds a B-Tech degree in CSE and has worked on full stack development of many crucial products at Jabong as Software Engineer. He likes to work on Product Usability(UI & UX) along with Day to Day Operations to ensure the customers love the experience. He has built Ridely’s android app by himself.
With amazing User Experience and easy to use interface, the Real-Time Ride Sharing feature allows you to pool a ride within no-time, no matter if the ride is Inter-state or Intra-state. The key focus is on flexible pricing, safety of users and a Robust verification and trust model. Varun says

The startup has had a very impressive 1st week. Without making any expenses on marketing the company has followers on social media, more than 400 unique visitors on website, 103 Application download and registered users, rated by 32 users with an average of 4.91 rating. The startup has a growth rate of 20% per day
This trio with the help of their experience in building payment systems, will soon be introducing a very easy and convenient cashless payment option which will transfer money within a day to user’s bank accounts. Their future plans also includes, launching cabs/auto sharing and reaching out to corporates which do not provide cabs or pick up and drop service to their employees. The trio also want to experiment with making use of their Map based interface by government and private organizations for Real-Time tracking and interaction of vehicles.
