HashLearn, the on-demand tutoring app that connects students with tutors has got backing from a plethora of ace list investors, the company has announced.


Investors include Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal, Ola co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal, Google India head Rajan Anandan, People Group founder Anupam Mittal, Singapore Angel Network, angel investor Sunil Kalra, former Flipkart chief product officer Mekin Maheshwari, former Flipkart president-operations Sujeet Kumar, Capillary Technologies co-founder Krishna Mehra and UK-based Taylor & Francis Group’s chief technology officer Max Gabriel.

Bangalore-based HashLearn was founded in 2013 by Jayadev Gopalakrishnan and Gokul Janga. It is building a scalable platform connecting educators and students, starting with test­prep. It covers subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Math – Board & Entrance Exams from class 8-12.

The new funds raised will be used for building categories and product besides marketing, Gopalakrishnan said. The service is currently offered through daily, weekly and monthly-subscription plans based on grades, subjects and entrance exams. Monthly subscription plans start at Rs 499 per month.
