UrbanClap is very fast being recognized as one of the fastest growing startups in the country. The startup is a mobile marketplace for local services. They help customers hire trusted professionals for all their service needs. It has been easing out the life of a lot of people who benefit from their services.

As part of the recent initiatives that the company has taken UrbanClap has said it will replicate its water leakage-fixing initiative in Pune to check water woes in the region. This is the company’s second city after Mumbai.

UrbanClap, the local services marketplace mentioned that it will invite residents of the city to join the Save Water campaign whereby it will fix all the leaking water taps and pipes in their homes, for free. The cost of this particular service will be borne by the company. This perhaps should encourage more and more people to come forth and avail the benefits in order to solve the long pending water woes that the city has been facing.

Speaking about the development, Abhiraj Bhal, Co-founder at UrbanClap mentioned,

“We had a positive and overwhelming response to our Save Water campaign in Mumbai. We understood that this service was the need of the hour in Maharashtra and have made the decision to expand the initiative to Pune as well.”

Interested people just need to log on to the app and place a request for “Save Water Pune” and the UrbanClap team will be assisting with the rest. The initiative will be up and running till May 06, 2016. Hence, it would be a great thing for people to take part in and probably more and more companies should come up with such ideas.
