Bangalore-based Parentlane, a startup focused on child development, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding in an angel round.
The round of funding has been led by Sujeet Kumar (Former President – Flipkart), Aprameya (Founder, Taxiforsure), Sumit Jain (Co-Founder & CEO, Commonfloor.com), Subramanya Venkat (Ex-Managing Partner, Bessemer Venture Partners & Co-Founder-Fisdom.com), Venk (Managing Partner – NuVentures), Ravi Machani (IndiVillage LLP), Hitesh Gupta (Founder – Vcbytes), Rohit Choudhary (Hortonworks) and others
Parentlane was founded in December 2015 by Vijay Anand and Neeraj Kumar Gupta. It is a social networking mobile app for baby-care and parenting platform that offers personalised guidance and advice on the development of children from the time they are born till eight years.
Parentlane was incubated at Accel Startup Pad, the startup incubating platform of Accel Partners.
It also allows parents to easily record and securely share pictures or notes of their child development progress with a relevant group of people connected with their network and share their experiences by creating posts covering all aspects of child development.
It will use this round of funding primarily on product development and mobile technology to enhance value delivery, user experience and engagement rate on the platform.
The funding will also be used to do selective and targeted marketing to build it’s community base & content.

Parentlane claims to be India’s first social platform to guide parents with personalized & trusted advice on the overall development of their child from the time the child is born till 8 years which are considered to be the most critical lifecycle stage for any human being.
The app is currently available only on Android.
