Hyderabad-based online logistics and warehousing startup, Zebroads which offers logistics and warehousing services to small companies, has secured seed funding of $75,000 (Rs 50 lakh) from a bunch of unnamed investors. The company plans to invest the raised funds in increasing warehousing space, technology upgradation and improvement in logistics partners, tells founder, Chandra Shekhar.
The startup was founded in 2013 by Chandra Shekhar to meet logistics and warehousing demands of small companies and SMEs who could not afford big logistics companies. It exclusively aims towards offering tailor-made services in warehousing, logistics and distribution channel to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). In addition to mini and mid-sized trucks, the startup also provides trained workforce (helpers and packers) for logistic requirements.
Speaking about his future plans for Zebroads, Chandra Shekhar said,
“Ultimately in the future, we want to create ‘Pay as Use’ concept for SMEs and medium-sized companies to make sure that they spend optimum money on warehousing, logistics and thereby improve their margins by sharing warehousing, manpower, and logistics expenses.”
Customers can easily book a truck from Zebroads through its call center service or online web portal. They will get SMS or a Whatsapp message when the company finds the nearest truck driver to their location.
