Microsoft Accelerator in India and TCS Co-Innovation Network (Coin) have announced a joint initiative to create a platform that will provide a boost to the Indian startup ecosystem.
The companies have a huge customer base and based on the feedback from them, the two enterprises will work with startups to bring innovative solutions to the market.
Ravi Narayan, global director, Microsoft Accelerator said,
“The progress India has made in IT and entrepreneurship over the past decades has radically changed the landscape, offering unmatched opportunities,”
As access to markets and customers remains a challenge for Indian start-ups, the partnership will provide start-ups access to their networks and relationships across customers, investors, academia and industry, creating a value proposition in the enterprise marketplace.
Nagaraj Ijari, VP & global head, Hi-Tech Solutions Unit, TCS said,
“As we enter a new phase of rapid innovation and computing, companies must co-innovate and create strategic partnerships to solve challenging problems of their customers. The partnership will offer participating startups access to the expertise and client base of both TCS and Microsoft,”
The 12 graduating startups from the Summer 2016 programme – Altizon, Tarnea, Aureus Analytics, Baby Chakra, Reverie, Strides, Locus, Admission Table, Distiman, Calm.io, Yellow Messenger, and Report Bee – presented before an audience of investors, corporates, thought leaders, and the Microsoft management.
The selected startups will gain:
- Opportunity to connect with corporates
- Access to innovative solutions for their business needs
- Greater market access
- Access to the expertise and client-base of both the software majors
- Create opportunities to innovate and transform the business landscape
