EMERGE App Was Built To Serve A Company Internally, But Now Serves More Than 100 SMEs Around The World

In 2011, Benjamin Yee was running an apparel printing and customisation business that was constantly running into minor issues, being a regular source of problems and a deviator from the misssion of his business.

Week after week, month after month he found himself handling stock inaccuracies, endless paperwork and accounting mayhem. Depressed and totally out of focus, he tried all existing solutions but to no use. Existing solutions either catered to large companies or were too costly and complex for the small business.

To tackle this major roadblock, Benjamin and his team, set out to fill the gap by creating a Software as a Service (SaaS) that would bring down the cost, to make the life of hundreds of thousands of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) simpler, faster and more interesting.

This solution was called as EMERGE App. Currently based out of Singapore and Bangalore, EMERGE App has since undergone various trials by fire, and each time emerged much stronger than before. Benjamin says:

“We are proud to put our name to a product that was initially built to serve us, and now refined to serve more than 100 other companies around the world.”

EMERGE App is a cloud-based system for merchants who sell online or offline through e-Commerce, wholesale, or distribution. It covers order management, inventory management, and basic accounting.

A complete system for growing business dealing with traditional offline distribution and online e-commerce sales. EMERGE’s full suite of features manages your entire operation from multi-channel sales to purchasing, product, inventory and simple accounting management. Benjamin says:

The current team size is of 15 members. Benjamin, who is the Founder and CEO, has an experience of 6 years in running trading/wholesale, software and advertising business. He is also the founder of Drooling Apparel Asia Pacfic Pte Ltd, a b2b garments venture, pioneer in Singapore for digital marketing of Tshirt Printing.

Prior to this he was the Non-executive director at Lange Macrea Pte Ltd. Arif Suleiman is the CTO of the company with 14 years of experience in engineering and software architecture. He also has 3 years of experience with Full cycle Microsoft Dynamics applications – ERP, project & financial work. In addition to this, 11 years full cycle development of life and health insurance application for Ace Life & Takaful Emarat. Raviraj is the VP Growth for EMERGE app.

Talking to Knowstartup, James says:

The company has received around 500 sign ups already, from companies ranging from healthcare, tooling systems, jewellery and food industry. Emerge App also did a hard launch in India on September 1st. They plan to integrate with major e-Commerce players and fulfilment services, in the country.
