Here we are with a list of wedding startups that are founded currently and are doing their best in the e-commerce business.

1. WedMeGood

This startups is a Gurgaon based, founded by husband and wife, Anand Shahani and Mehak Shahani who accommodates the couple for their wedding, right from the idea of planning till the stage. The startup provides photographers, makeup artist, jewellery brands, designer wear and caterings as well with detailed information, pricing and reviews. The company app runs on iOS and android platforms, both. WedMeGood is a first wedding online portal that has launched its app too.


The website currently lists over 4,000 vendors across 11 cities, for all wedding services including Photographers, Makeup Artists, Decor, Bridal Wear, Grooms Wear, Cinematographers, Invitations, Mehendi Artists, Wedding Planners, Jewellery, Trousseau Packers, Venue Bookings, Jewellery, Catering, Wedding Cakes, DJs, Choreographers and Accessories.

2. Weddingplz

Founded in 2014 by Manas Wadhwa, Weddingplz, helps its users to find the best vendors for every wedding product/services such as catering, flower decoration, wedding jewellery, music services, etc. under one digital roof.  Currently, operating in five cities— Delhi (NCR), Mumbai, Chandigarh, Ludhiana and Bengaluru.


Weddingplz has more than 45,000 vendors in 43 different categories with 18,00,000 visitors. Apart from vendor listing it also has wedding planning tools like wedding checklist, budget, guest list, e-invites and wedding website where in the user can create and share his/her own personal website without any cost.

3. Marryinaweek

Marry in a Week is a facebook matrimonial app, designed to cut through the clutter and deliver within a week, guaranteed responses from matches that are most relevant and useful.


Marry in a Week showcases a person’s individuality and introduces lifestyle, interests, values, and attitude as important criteria for new age matrimonial matchmaking. Users are encouraged to create their honest profiles and augment it further with the help of multiple photos of self, family, and special moments.

Each profile is received individually by it’s relevant match and gets appropriate attention and consideration in the absence of needless clutter. The startup is planning to expand their business in top 10 metro cities for which they even raise their funds. In 2015 they launched their app too for android users.


Launched in January, 2015, this wedding industry provides different vendors at good price. WeddingZ allows partners to find and book the services at affordable price. Previously it was offering service only in Mumbai but now it expanded to 10 cities including Delhi, Bangalore and others.


With 2000 wedding venues and 2000 vendors this portal promises to be a largest warehouse of wedding service provider. The company also said to be organize 200 weddings every month. This portal is competing very strongly with others wedding portal like Shaadisaga, WedMeGood and many more.

5. ForMyShaadi

Founded by Sudha Maheshwari, ForMyShaadi is a wedding gift e-registry website for would-be married couples. The platform invites married-to-be couples to create a wish list for themselves. The couple can then share it with their friends and family who can browse through products the couple have selected, make a purchase, leave a greeting for the couple and go to the wedding hassle free.


ForMyShaadi aims at creating an online marketplace of exclusive brands and unique experiences so that couples can get the gifts they want on their big day, be it by wish listing gifts that will help them set up their new home or by listing experiences and personal items that they would enjoy.

6. Shaadisaga

Shaadisaga is founded by Himanshu Kapsime and Manish Garg. It is the one stop wedding planning solution, where people can not only celebrate but can also share and can plan their wedding journey.


With their website and e-invites, people can share their beautiful wedding journey with their friends and loved ones. Not only this, it ensures people with great ideas, updates on new trends, cool tips to make your day more special, unique and memorable. So what you all have to do is sit relax, rest of the planning will be done by Shaadisaga.

7. PlanningWale

With PlanningWale you can search, compare and book vendors from over 25 categories, and also review and bookmark vendors for future reference. You could start by searching “near-by” vendors and locate them on maps.PlanningWaleBeing a wedding and event search directory with listing of over 6000 matrimonial vendors like jewellers, venues, caterers, photographers, bandwalas, florist, astrologers, designers, make-up artists, mehendiwalas, invitation cards, decorations, choreographers and many more, PlanningWale was founded in April 2015 by Latika Malhotra, Kanishk Pandey and Sameer.


Founded by Sanna Vohra in November last year, because when sanna’s friend was providing her information regarding wedding during her sister marriage, she had to go through lot of websites, this what gave her idea to start her own venture in this zone.

This is a Mumbai based startup that allows user to search for anything from destination wedding to “gotta patti” (a type of Indian embroidery originate in Rajasthan) lehenga. Indear collects content from the brands and allows users to contact the source directly.
