Freedom.desi is an innovative startup that uses wifi sensors to track the users in vicinity in a commercial space, log footfalls and sends out promotional offers to their app-users in the vicinity.

This helps its users look out for Shopping malls and arcades on close proximity to them. Not just that, Freedom.desi further check out the offers inside them that are trending and gets instant discount codes by showing your interest to that favorite offer.

As an outcome of this innovation, Delhi-based Freedom Smart Labs Ltd has raised Rs 1 crore in seed round from Kapil Goel, managing director of retail chain DCS Group. The wifi-based retail solution product Freedom.desi developed by the company helps retail outlets re-target customers.

Similar to location based technologies developed by various companies and Apple’s iBeacon technology, the Freedom.desi product uses wifi sensors to track the users in vicinity in a commercial space, log footfalls and can send out promotional offers to their app-users in the vicinity.

While talking about the development Yogesh Huja, founder of Freedom Smart Labs said,

“Currently we have deployed this at 21 malls in and around Delhi-NCR. We are also offering mall management software and assist features for customers who have the app and step into a mall. They can search for wheelchairs, use the lost-and-found assistance and more,”

Freedom.desi is looking at going global by approaching malls in Dubai and Turkey to provide their full-suite of solutions, so that the same innovation could be applied to them too.
