Dhruv’s past work experience includes a stint at Google and he is a firm believer that technology and information symmetry will result in a better transaction between buyer and seller. Sukhmani Singh, one of the co-founders at TripShelf is ex-AT Kearney who believes that the industry will embrace change faster than we can create it because of the aggression and hunger for growth.
Jai Raj Gupta has founded a successful venture Shaadionline in the past. He believes that they are at the right inflection point in an industry with 2 lac sellers poised to go online. He has a masters degree from IIM Calcutta and is a graduate from BITS Pilani.
They are currently a 15 member team, and are working extremely light-footed and bare bones on a lot of things. They want to keep the team small and compact and grow to a maximum of 28 people over the next one year.
Tour operators can list their holiday packages on Tripshelf.com and travelers can discover, compare, and inquire or buy these packages from the tour operators. They specialise in bringing high quality tour operators to the platform and in providing you a wide range of holiday packages to choose from.
Tripshelf works with some of the best tour operators in bringing you a combination of budget and luxury holiday packages to most popular destinations like – Himachal tour packages, Kerala tour packages, Kashmir tour packages, Leh Ladakh tour packages, holiday packages to Europe, international holiday packages to Dubai, Thailand Bangkok Pattaya holiday packages, Singapore and Malaysia holiday packages and tours to Hong Kong. They are expanding the list of destinations on a constant basis.
TripShelf’s USP is the machine learning tools adopted to make it easier and faster for tour operators to focus harder on the customers who are going to convert i.e. segregate the lookers from the bookers.
They feel that automation, chatbots, and machine learning along with empowering the tour operator with technology are the best way to look at the market. TripShelf’s Chatbot uses a technology that captures travelers’ interests and assists them in booking a package especially tailor-made to suit their needs.
A constantly evolving machine learning model sits at the very core of TripShelf which measures choices made on the platform constantly for the same. Apart from saving time, the chatbot also enables the consumer to plan and book their travel only at the click of a button.
The chatbot is enabling the tour operators to automate 60% of the sales task of explaining the holiday packages in his inventory to prospective customers. So far, TripShelf has trained more than 75000 conversations across 5000+ chats and has come close to a 90% match on its revolutionary Chatbot with consumer questions and answers.
TripShelf wishes to occupy pole position in the leisure holiday packages space in the eyes of the consumer and with our tour operators. They see themselves increasing their base to 5000 tour operators over the next 24 months and 1 million travelers every month.
